We are a young originally Danish company focused on making and selling stylish and functional handmade leather accessories. We started Muud in 2016 because, stylish and functional accessories were in high demand in various industries. Because of our Scandinavian design mentality, we were able to respond well. Scandinavian design is characterised by elegant, clean and timeless aspects.

Our first collection was very successful. For this reason, and because of our commitment to making high-quality luxury accessories, we started expanding our collection. Today, we also sell accessories for chefs and accessories for everyday use. We are also working on a collection of accessories especially for artisans. Due to the popularity of this handicraft collection, we are expanding it even further.

When designing all our accessories, we keep a focus on combining functionality with a timelessly stylish look. In addition, we have a genuine passion for craftsmanship and durability. All our products are therefore handmade and have a long lifespan. Our products are therefore a good investment that you will enjoy for a long time. In addition, all our products reflect our Danish identity and Scandinavian influences. This ensures that all our designs are very clean and timeless.

Origin of our products

The leather we use to make our products comes from Dairy Cows from India. We chose this leather, as its quality is very high and the cows have a good life in India. The cows are not bred for commercial purposes and roam the streets of India freely. In addition, cows are considered sacred beings in India. Hindus believe, in fact, that one of their good Shiva can take the form of a cow.

Besides, cows play a very important role, in the life and sustenance of people in agrarian Indian society. In India, just like here, milk is drunk from a cow, and butter and yoghurt are made from the milk. Besides, farmers in India need the cows, to fertilise their land, fuel is also made from their dung and some people even drink the urine of cows as medicine. According to many, therefore, without the cow, man would not have had a right to exist in ancient India and Hinduism could not have spread. The cow is thus central to Hinduism and worshipped partly for this reason.

For the reason that the leather comes from India, we have chosen to have our products made in India as well. India, all our products are handmade in our own factory. We find it important that our products are made under good conditions. This is why we follow EU guidelines on working conditions. These guidelines include pay, working hours and working conditions. These guidelines are a lot higher than those in India itself.

For dyeing and processing we use, sourced from Germany, to ensure that it meets strict European quality requirements. This allows us to process our products without leaving harmful substances in the environment.
